Brasero is located at 1709 W. Chicago ave. Chicago, IL 60622. Between the intersections of Paulina and wood. A couple blocks West of Chicago and Ashland

Brasero does not have valet, but there is ample street parking on Chicago ave. as well as non-permit residential parking South of the alley behind the restaurant.

The #60 (Chicago) bus has a stop at Paulina next to the restaurant. Brasero is also a couple blocks West of Ashland and the #9 bus.

You can use cash or credit cards. We accept all major credit cards. We cannot accept personal checks.

We do allow walk-ins but we can never guarantee a seat at that moment. We always suggest making a reservation to know who is coming in when. We will always try our best to seat all guests and offer a time that works best with our schedule and theirs.

There's no smoking in the restaurant including vapes. As a good rule of thumb guests should be directed outside of the barrier to the street preferably on the East side in the direction of Ashland Ave.

We are proud of our wine program at Brasero and encourage all of our guest to participate in the unique view of wine we want to showcase. However, we do allow our guests to bring their own wine WITH a corkage fee of $60 per bottle with a limit of 2 bottles per table. We do not allow wines that we are currently serving on our wine menu OR Liquor and Beer STRICTLY WINE.

Of course! We will be happy to accommodate any of these needs. We always suggest being as detailed as possible with reservations, and this includes table needs/preferences.

We expect everyone to be prompt and on time. This includes the guests, however while we do not market this, we will hold a table for 15 minutes after the designated reservation time after which the guest will be seen as a no show and lose their table and place in line. We will accommodate if the guest calls stating that they are running late.

Gift Cards are available at the restaurant or online through our website. They are redeemable in the restaurant and can be used towards our entire menu.

We do allow dogs STRICTLY on our patio so long as the dog is well behaved and any messes are taken care of by the owner.

While we can accommodate some basic vegan needs and wants we do not feel comfortable saying we have vegan options.

The restaurant was formerly Funkenhausen, a German meets Southern concept.

We add a 20% Gratuity to all parties of 5 or more

A 3.25% Administrative Fee is added to all checks and can be removed upon request.

Our staff is knowledgeable and are able to walk you through any allergy questions you may have. We always ask at the table for any allergies.

Brasero is a 100% South American wine list with 100 wines that are less than $100. We want guests to be excited to drink wine and feel comfortable doing so in both price and ambiance.

Guests can call the restaurant directly and order food to go, however we do not use a specific delivery platform.

We can certainly offer a personal ice cream or sorbet with a sparkler in it, and we will always do our best to make sure it is special for you and the birthday guest.

We pride ourselves that the vast majority of Brasero’s menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free very easily. This is subject to change and we always encourage guests to be open with allergies so our team can make sure you are comfortable and safe while dining with us.

We offer Happy Hour AT THE BAR Every day from 5pm - 7pm and All Day on Sunday, 5pm - 9pm. We also occasionally offer special menus or one off ideas to keep our creative brains working. Join our mailing list or follow our Instagram to stay current with these!

We are closed on the following Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

We do allow it. We do not market it but we do not ask for a cake cutting fee. It is always a problem for guests and understanding why, and becomes a hassle. We also feel this is a nice way to exhibit hospitality and allow our guests to have a memorable and special evening.

We try our hardest to source the best ingredients we can in both quality as well as sustainability. These farms do change frequently based on what we are able to get but we will always search for the best quality and standards. It makes everything better from the world to the food itself.
